I've finished my contribution to this project.
During the next week I'll upload the photos to the blog. The sun in Spain has not been my ally, but I've got.

The camera has come to Spain!

A small mistake by the postal service has done it takes a little longer to receive it, but it is now here!
It's fantastic. I'm excited to see that this project continues.
This coming week I will start shooting. Now, i thinking about the vision I want to show and the kind of film that I will use.
I want to give a personal view of my world and my imagination with the advantages and limitations offered by this camera.

     These are more of my usual Toy Camera type shots except in color.  I really had fun using the UWS.  I told myself at the first of the year...No more cameras!  I might have to cave in and buy one of these! 

I really loved the reflection in the mirror part, the mime is painted on.

I like how the format of this camera worked for this window.

I also shot this one with my Holga and again really liked the rectangle framing.

Traveling Toy Camera in Oregon

     The Traveling Toy Camera arrived in Oregon!  I normally don't photograph alot of scenic shots but decided to share the beauty of my home state for this project.  This photo is of Multnomah Falls and is the most visited site in Oregon.  It is located in the Columbia River Gorge about 30 miles east of downtown Portland.  I drive by this about once a week.
     I was very impressed with the quality of photos the UWS takes.  The 22mm lens was perfect for this waterfall. 

This is a view looking west down the Columbia River Gorge from my hometown of Hood River, Oregon.  The other side of the river is the Washington side.

  I've never stopped to photograph here before.  This is a holding pond at the Bonneville Dam which is the last dam on the Columbia River.  I also took some shots of this with my Holga in black and white but I really liked this one in color.  I rarely shoot color, I may have to step outside my comfort zone and shoot more color film.  Once again I was very impressed by how sharp the images are from this very flimsy camera!

There are tons of waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge.  This one was off the Old Columbia River Highway which runs right beside I-84.  I did crop some people out of this one and once again I am loving the super wide angle lens.  I am thinking about getting one of these cameras for myself although I was worried that I was going to break it.  I'm glad someone mentioned to use only 24 exposure rolls!

I went skiing on Saturday and brought the UWS with me.  I was worried I was going to fall and break the camera.  At least I didn't need to worry about breaking a rib with this camera in my coat pocket!  This is a view of the top of Mt Hood taken from an elevation of about 9500 ft.  The top of Mt Hood is over 14,000 ft so the super wide angle makes it look fairly far away.  I got really lucky with the weather.  It's not often you get a sunny day on this mountain.  At this time of year the entire state will be sunny and the top of the mountain will be in the clouds.  Mt Hood is also a volcano and you can see gas vapors from the other side!

So this is it for the scenic shots.  I took some other shots which I will post in a day or two.

   

Hello Cleveland!

The camera arrived in sunny Cleveland Ohio USA today, Friday March 12. Here's hoping the rains hold off this weekend so I can get out and shoot!
